Applying for Bronx STEAM Center
Bronx STEAM serves 11th and 12th grade students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or technology who are willing to dedicate time to pursuing in-depth, hands-on courses and work-based learning in these fields. Students will need to spend at least 50% of their day at Bronx STEAM and may need to complete accelerated coursework at their home school to attend.
In order to attend the Bronx STEAM Center, you must be a student at one of the following 10 partner high schools:
- Bronx Health Sciences High School
- Bronx Leadership Academy High School
- Bronx River High School
- Crotona International High School
- Eagle Academy for Young Men
- Herbert H. Lehman High School
- High School for Energy and Technology
- High School of Computers and Technology
- Pan American International High School at Monroe
- The Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science
General Admissions Process
The general process for a student to be enrolled with the Bronx STEAM Center is outlined below:

RESEARCH
Research about us and our partner schools by attending NYCPS High School Fairs and Open Houses to determine if Bronx STEAM Center is the right fit for you.

ENROLL AT A PARTNER SCHOOL
Apply for a partner school in the NYC High School Admissions Application using the specific Bronx STEAM Center code and then be accepted there.

ACCELERATED COURSEWORK
Partner school leaders and guidance counselors play a key role in making sure scholars complete accelerated coursework in Grades 9 & 10 while engaging with semi-annual STEAM events to accumulate credits and learn more about us.

SUBMIT BRONX STEAM APPLICATION
Submit near the end of Grade 10 your Bronx STEAM Center supplementary application (pick your pathway) and await your acceptance notification!
It is recommended that scholars that apply to a partner school without the appropriate Bronx STEAM Center code speak to their school counselor to ensure they will be programmed for courses to take advantage of the program.
